Sinderella – 10th September 2022

By invitation of Prince Charming, you are officially invited to The Royal Ball this Autumn as Adult Panto Tour return with the most magical, naughty tale of them all, Sinderella! Will poor Cinderella make it to the ball or will her wicked Step Mother Detox (Drag Race Season 5 and All Stars Season 2) and Ugly Sisters stop her? Under the guidance of our magical Fairy Drag Mother, Janey Jacke (Drag Race Holland Season 1 and UK vs The World Season 1) and the lovable Buttons Davey Hopper (Little Willy in Rapunzel 2021 and Buttons in Sinderella 2020)Will Prince Charming and HUNdini, David Potts (Ibiza Weekender) find Cinerella and ensure the glass slipper is returned to her and true love prevails?

Dick and Dom in da Bungalow Live – 22nd September 2022

20 years after the hit BBC show ‘Da Bungalow’ first burst on to our screens, quadruple Bafta award winners Dick & Dom are bringing their own special kind of mayhem live to Tyne Theatre & Opera House!

Fun for all ages and packed with chaos and familiar favourites including Two-Word Tango, Musical Splatues, The Grunty Song, Fairly Hairy Fizzogs, Pants Dance, What a Sweaty Flap and of course Bogies, the live show promises to bring the spirit of da Bungalow back to life.

An Extra Good Night with Yotam Ottolenghi and Noor Murad – 27th September 2022

Spend a delicious evening with Yotam Ottolenghi and Noor Murad, the team behind the Ottolenghi Test Kitchen (OTK), as they reveal how to ‘Ottolenghify’ your meals in this fun and interactive event.

Live on stage, Ottolenghi and Murad will take you through their latest OTK cookbook, Extra Good Things, and the ways in which everyday ingredients can be transformed into dishes with oomph. With a little Test Kitchen magic, they will share ideas for flavour-packed sauces, sprinkles, and condiments that all lend a little something extra to your next meal.

Austentatious – 7th October 2022

Austentatious is an improvised comedy play starring a cast of the country’s quickest comic performers.

Every single show the cast conjures up a brand new ‘lost’ Jane Austen novel based on nothing more than a title suggested by the audience. The show comes fresh from multiple sell out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, a weekly residency in London’s West End and a BBC Radio 4 Christmas special.

Luisa Omielan – TEN – 21st October 2022

10 years after ‘What Would Beyonce Do?!’ propelled her into the spotlight, Luisa Omielan brings together the best bits of every 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ show since. Featuring jokes from ‘Am I right Ladies’, ‘Politics for Bitches’ and ‘God is a Woman’. Expect cow impressions, thigh gaps, Mary Magdalene and relationship boat analogies.

Authentic, raw, honest and timeless, its the only show that can make you laugh your head off and cry your eyes out simultaneously.

The Canterville Ghost – 8th & 9th November 2022

Four audacious artistes perform Oscar Wilde’s spine-chilling ghost story for your delight and delectation. Interspersed with their own sensational acts, a comedian, a magician, a psychic and their charismatic compere tell the story of Sir Simon de Canterville, who disappeared mysteriously 300 years ago – after being accused of murder.

A gloriously ghoulish and uproarious vaudeville spectacular from award-winning theatre company Tall Stories. If you’ve got it, haunt it!

Sh*t-faced Shakespeare: Macbeth – 12th November 2022

The smash-hit, internationally acclaimed, multi sell-out fringe phenomenon is touring the UK with one of Shakespeare’s most loved plays: Macbeth. Shit-faced Shakespeare is the hilarious combination of an entirely serious adaptation of a Shakespearean classic, with an entirely shit-faced cast member. With one cast member selected at random and given four hours to drink before every show we present to you classical theatre as it was always meant to be seen.

Starlight Theatre Productions presents Kinky Boots – 15th – 19th November 2022

Kinky Boots is an exhilarating true story about a struggling shoe factory that will lift your spirits to high-heeled heights. Winner of numerous awards with some fabulous music, lots of dancing and plenty of comedy, get your tickets early for this North East am premier event.

Fingers & Fringe presents: A Night at the Theatre – 23rd November 2022

Who doesn’t love a night at the theatre, eh? Well Fingers & Fringe are buzzing to be bringing a night of incredible comedy to our favourite theatre, Tyne Theatre & Opera House. Hosted by the very handsome Jarred Christmas, we will be joined by the likes of Daliso Chaponda, Scott Bennett, Rachel Fairburn, Fern Brady PLUS MORE TO BE ANNOUNCED! Now we are spoiling you aren’t we. Come and join us for a night at the theatre, can’t wait to see you there!

Joanne McNally – Prosecco Expresss – 27 November 2022

Described as ‘a truly gifted stand up’ by The Sunday Times, join Joanne as she revisits her irreverent and critically acclaimed show The Prosecco Express. Due to a relentless ageing process, Joanne is suddenly in her late thirties with no husband, no kids, no pension and no plan. She is full of questions: if she doesn’t birth anything, who will be obligated to watch her die so she doesn’t have to do it alone? Can she start a GoFundMe page to get a golden tomb built for single people to get buried in together, or do we all just get thrown into a mass grave and covered in cat hair? When a man on a dating app identifies as ‘spiritual’, is it safe to assume he has the personality of a spoon? If you do all your drinking in the bath, can you write it off as self-care?
