Opera Unplugged – Practice, Performance & Workshops: Learning from the Past & Planning for the Future

A 3-day international conference in partnership with Opera North. ‘Opera Unplugged’ is an exciting programme of papers, historic demonstrations and archive films covering all aspects of 19th century opera, plus a special exhibition ‘The History of the Carl Rosa Opera Company’. The Tyne Theatre and Opera House box office is open for phone and in-person bookings from the 1867 Cafe Bar 10am-3pm Mon-Fri (or until show start if there is a performance that evening + an hour before weekend performances).
