Where can I view a seating plan?

Our seating plan may vary show-to-show. Limited view seats vary depending on the type of performance and will be indicated on the seating plan for each individual show. Rows A in the Grand and Upper Circle may have restricted leg room. Views from Gallery may be limited due to distance from stage.

How can I book tickets?

You can buy tickets online through our website (go to the What’s On page and select the event you’re interested in), calling our booking hotline number 0844 249 1000 or visiting our Box Office in person (opening times generally 10 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday). If you need an accessible/carer booking or want to book a box, please call our office line 0191 243 1171 during Box Office opening times. Always buy your tickets through the venue or through the artist’s homepage, we are not liable for tickets purchased through third party websites (e.g Viagogo).

Do I qualify for a concession?

Where offered, patrons under the age of 16 or over 60 are eligible for concession tickets. Any additional concession rates (e.g student) will be included in the event description.

I have lost my tickets, what to do?

If you have purchased physical tickets online through our website (Eventim), called our booking hotline number or visited the Box Office, your ticket details will be in our system. Please bring your confirmation email/receipt with the booking reference number to the Theatre and we will re-print your tickets. You may be charged a small charge for re-prints.

If you have booked e-tickets through Eventim (TicketDirect) you can redownload your tickets by logging into your Eventim account.

For bookings through any other ticket agent, please return to your point of purchase.

I have tickets for an event I can no longer attend, can I have a refund?

It is our general policy that all tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Where an event is cancelled for any reason, you will be eligible for a face value refund and will be contacted by your point of purchase. Similarly, where a show is postponed and you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, you will also be entitled to a face value refund which you can obtain by contacting your point of purchase.

For online bookings made via our website/Eventim or over the booking hotline contact customerservice@eventim.co.uk for any enquiries regarding refunds. If you have booked directly with the Tyne Theatre Box Office please call 0191 243 1171. If booked through a 3rd party site, please contact them directly regarding refunds.

If you can no longer attend an event and would like to sell your tickets, if bought through Eventim we encourage you to use their official resale site FanSale. 

What is a family ticket?

A family ticket is four tickets for either two adults and two children, or one adult with three children (children must be under 16).

Does a child need a ticket?

In our general policy children 18 months or younger classify as babes in arms and will not need a ticket. For some shows this is lowered to 6 months, if so, this will be specified on the event page on our website.

Children over 18 months old will need a ticket, even if you want to keep them on your lap.
