Tyne Theatre Productions announces 2027 Amateur Dramatic production of Annie
Tyne Theatre Productions is delighted to announce its upcoming in-house amateur dramatic production for early 2027: the beloved musical Annie.
This exciting production will see a unique collaboration with Tyne Youth Company, bringing together performers of all ages in a vibrant and heartwarming show. Known for its uplifting story, iconic songs, and endearing characters, Annie will provide a fantastic platform for both seasoned performers and emerging young talent to shine.
Set to run at the historic Tyne Theatre & Opera House, Annie promises to be a highlight of the theatre’s 2027 cultural and community calendars.
Head of Community Engagement & Participation, Rachel Snape said:
“I’m incredibly excited that we’ll be bringing Annie to the Tyne Theatre & Opera House in 2027.
“Following their rebrands just last year, our in-house companies are already making huge strides towards becoming a cornerstone of the theatre’s community engagement & participation programme.
“Annie will give us the unique opportunity to bring together two of our companies in what promises to be a spectacular production.”
Audition information for cast members will be announced soon via the theatre’s official social media channels. Further details, including performance dates and ticket information, will also be released in the coming weeks.

Membership information for Tyne Theatre Productions 2026-27 season will be released shortly, inviting new and returning members to be part of an inclusive and dynamic theatre community that offers year-round performance opportunities, workshops and social events.
Tyne Theatre Productions will soon be launching recruitment for the Artistic Team and Shadow Roles for its 2026–2027 season. This presents an excellent opportunity for new and young creatives across directing, choreography, musical direction, and production roles to contribute to the theatre’s continued artistic growth.
This combined production with Tyne Youth Company reflects Tyne Theatre’s commitment to nurturing talent, fostering collaboration, and creating memorable theatrical experiences for both participants and audiences alike.
