Following the announcement of Tyne Theatre Productions’ 2027 amateur dramatic production of Annie, Tyne Theatre & Opera House is happy to announce the launch of its search for a Voluntary U25 Production Co-ordinator for 2026-27.

We offer this role as a stepping-stone to industry entry for young/new creatives. You do not need to have directed previously.

Job Title: Tyne Theatre Productions – U25 Volunteer Production Co-ordinator

Reports to: Head of Community Engagement & Participation 

Period of Appointment: Sept 2026 – February 2027

Purpose of Role: We are looking for a U25 Volunteer Production Co-ordinator for Tyne Theatre Productions (TTP) amateur production of Annie which will be performed at the Tyne Theatre & Opera House (TTOH) during the week of 14 February 2027. This role is designed for someone to gain experience to support their entry into the arts industry. Tasks may include booking and sourcing rehearsal venues, scheduling and coordinating cast and band rehearsals, replying to cast queries, liaising with inhouse technical and marketing teams over production requirements, supporting marketing and social media, organising merchandise etc.

The applicants should ideally:

● be based in the Newcastle area
● be between 18-25 years
● be enrolled on or have completed a relevant college course such as performing
arts, arts management, theatre design etc.
● be looking to join the arts industry as a production manager, project co-ordinator
or similar
● have good people skills
● be able to follow instructions
● enjoy a challenge and find ways around problems!
● be willing to commit to the production period

Pencilled Dates

Monday 6 July: TTP Introduction Evening 6-9pm
Saturday 18 July: TTP Auditions – 10am – 4pm
Rehearsals from Wednesday 2 September
Sunday 14 February: Get In/Tech
Monday 15 February: Tech/Run – 6-9pm
Tuesday 16 February: Full Dress Rehearsal – 6-9pm
Wednesday 17 February to Saturday 20 February – Performances (incl matinees on Thursday 18, and Saturday 20 Feb)
